"A firehose pointed at Vancouver Island"

We are heading to Quadra Island today and then Port Alice tomorrow.  I was listening to the 6:30 news on the CBC as I lay in bed procrastinating getting up and ready to go.   The big news is the incoming rain!  Up to 150 mm over the next two days.  Well, that's what you get for planning an island road trip in October in rainforest world.  I did actually look at the CBC Weather page and most of the rain seems to be aimed at south island.  So maybe we chose the best time to be on north island.  Either way, I am going to bring some games so we can stay inside. And our place in Port Alice is a full house so we should be snug as bugs even if we can't venture too far afield.

Now I have to go and pack.
